Extra-curricular activities from Children’s University

The Children’s University have launched a new online portal to enable every child in the UK to take part in their national extra-curricular activities programme. It’s a great way for children and parents to find out about free and low-cost activities in their local area, and each time a child takes part in an activity, they get a virtual ‘stamp’ in their Children’s University Passport which eventually leads to certificates being awarded which can be downloaded and printed off.

This online opportunity is aimed at primary school children and costs £3.50 per month to join.

Funding opportunity

Urban Health is convening a steering group made up of individuals from Lambeth and Southwark who are leaders in business and/or community groups and who have expertise in enterprise and food systems. They are actively seeking to share power through this project by devolving decision-making to the steering group who have developed the project scope and processes. They will recruit and support organisations that are embedded in and representative of the local communities to lead the development of these two initiatives.

They are looking for proposals from local community organisations to receive funding through our Community Food Incubator and Food Insights Playbook work streams.

The request for proposals is live on their website below.
