The role of Youth Participation Officer (Internship) is made possible by the Jack Petchey Foundation. This Jack Petchey Intern programme is designed to give young people a flying start in the charity sector. It aims to support dynamic young individuals in their first step towards being the sector’s future leaders. The Mayor’s Fund for London is one of the beneficiary organisations of the internship programme. More information about the programme and the impact it has had so far can be found here.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Youth Participation Officer (Internship) will help us ensure that young people’s views and experiences are embedded in all Mayor’s Fund for London programmes, both in terms of delivery and programme design.  There will be opportunities to develop new activities as part of our existing campaigns and programmes, focusing on topics such as food insecurity and diversity and inclusion. We also see an important role for the YPO in supporting activities of our youth volunteers including the Youth Board.
