City Pitch empowers young Londoners to step up as leaders and make a difference in their community. The experience provides pupils with the opportunity to plan and launch a social action project, whilst helping them to develop their leadership, project management and communication skills.
SCHOOL APPLICATIONS FOR 2018/19: OPEN
City Pitch projects are created and led by young people, with support from teachers and our expert team of facilitators.
In 2017/18, 36 primary and secondary schools from across London will be selected to take part in City Pitch. The programme begins with a Leadership Day in school for 60 pupils and culminates with a dragon’s den style pitch event at City Hall for finalist schools, who are able to pitch for up to £1500 funding for their community project.
If you’d like to take part, please register your interest at the link above.
“It’s been fantastic. It’s given the children a lot of confidence and belief that it doesn’t matter what age you are, you can make a difference. It also puts social action high on their agenda as they grow up.”
