City Pitch empowers young Londoners to step up as leaders and make a difference in their community. The experience provides pupils with the opportunity to plan and launch a social action project, whilst helping them to develop their leadership, project management and communication skills.
Registrations for City Pitch are currently closed.
City Pitch projects are created and led by young people, with support from teachers and our expert team of facilitators.
In 2017/18, 36 primary and secondary schools from across London were selected to take part in City Pitch. The programme began with a Leadership Day in school and culminated with a dragon’s den style pitch event at City Hall for finalist teams, who were able to pitch for up to £1500 funding for their community project.
“It’s been fantastic. It’s given the children a lot of confidence and belief that it doesn’t matter what age you are, you can make a difference. It also puts social action high on their agenda as they grow up.”
