Maths Kitchen

Cookery is a life skill which involves plenty of maths. Pupils enjoy making and eating whilst using and refining a wide range of maths and communication skills. Clear recipes and a great set of instructions make what could be a challenging choice of maths club theme really manageable and easy to digest!

Getting children to articulate in maths can be challenging. These resources are designed to promote talk and team work to complete mathematical tasks and challenges. Drawing out mathematical concepts from games and activities to promote enhanced understanding.

Plan, Make, Market

This series of maths club session is designed to run through the whole life cycle of an enterprise project. Doing an enterprise project offers real-world opportunities.   Pupils take pride and pleasure in doing something practical, that they can see through from its beginning to its conclusion, and which depends greatly on the use and development of a wide range of maths skills.

Alternative focuses: tote/sports bags, jewellery, etc
