With a new Team GB medal every day, Olympic fever has well and truly hit the Mayor’s Fund for London with the exciting news that the GLA has donated all their Olympic assets to us in order to raise money through an auction. We are becoming rather fond of our new friends Wenlock and Mandeville whose statues have appeared around the City alongside the “gifts from the Olympic gods” and other “moments of Wonder and Colour”. The auction will take place online at the official 2012 Olympic Sporting Memorabilia site. Keep an eye on the site from today and over the coming weeks and months to follow developments and bid for your favourite piece of memorabilia. Funds raised will be invested in our programme to fight child poverty in London. Thank you to our Patron and the GLA for their generous donation. It will ensure that the Olympic legacy lives on in the children and young people of London.
